Building Your Web Site

This is where the rubber meets the road.

We take all the research and the design plan and build you a web site that works.

Internet Service

You won't get anywhere without an ISP.

An Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides you with a space on the Internet to store your web site.

They are responsible for keeping your web site running, and maintaining the machines it runs on.

You need a service that is reliable and responsive.

We recommend Aplus.net. A lot of research has gone into our selection of this ISP for our small business clients.

Domain Name

This is the name of your business on the web.

For example, the domain name of Triphase Media is www.triphasemedia.com.

You can select a name that matches your business name, or something totally different. Just make sure that it's easy to remember, and easy for people to type.

Once you select a domain name, we'll help you get it registered.

E-mail Setup

You want people to contact you.

E-mail is the easiest way to keep in touch with your customers.

Once you have an ISP and domain name, we'll set up however many e-mail addresses you want.

Web Page Development

Web sites are made up of many individual pages.

There is a home page — this is the first page of your site and the most common one people will see.

There are interior pages — these provide your customers with specific information about your business.

When we say we are building your site, we are creating each page in HTML (HyperText Markup Language). This lets anyone with a computer an Internet connection find out about your business.

Search Engine Optimization

What good is a web site if no one can find it?

We optimize your pages so the search engines can find them.

When a customer types the right phrases into Google or Yahoo, your web site appears in the list.

Realize this: it takes time. High rankings are not achieved overnight. We work with you on strategies and techniques to get your web site discovered.

Content Development

Writing for the web is not exactly writing.

Well, it is, but you have to take a different approach. Writing for the web must be clear, concise and short.

People read web pages the way they read newspapers. They skim headlines and see if anything catches their eye.

We are happy to help you develop content for your web site. If you already know what you want to say, no problem. We will just add it to your pages for you.

That's the basics. What if you want more? »
